The facelifted 2015 Ford Ranger

The 2015 Ranger features an all-new front fascia, first seen in the all-new Everest. It gets headlights and a hexagonal grille. It also gets a clamshell hood with ridges on top of the hood. It also gets new wheel designs for both XLT and Wildtrak variants. For 2015, the Ranger gets a new color option: Pride Orange.

Inside, the 2015 Ranger gets an infotainment system upgrade. It now gets the SYNC II system and, in the top spec Wildtrak, a partially digital instrument panel. The XLT on the other hand gets analogue gauges. The Wildtrak gets leather seats while the XLT gets fabric. Exclusive for Wildtrak models are leather seats with orange contrast stitching and eight-way power seats.

Ford says it has improved the drivability and durability. The Ranger's Electronically Assisted Power Steering (EPAS) has been tweaked for lighter effort and easier maneuverability. Ford also said that chassis rigidity has been strengthened.

Rear seats of the 2015 Ford Ranger

The company has added a range of active safety systems such as Lane Keeping Alert with Assist, adaptive cruise control, Forward Alert and front and rear parking sensors. For those carrying heavy loads, the 2015 Ranger also comes with Adaptive Load Control which prevents suspension sag and adjusts the stability control's settings to cope with the extra weight.

Wildtrak Ranger on the move

The 2015 Ranger comes standard with the familiar 2.2-liter Duratorq diesel putting out 160 PS and 385 Nm of torque. Wildtrak models are also available with the 2.2-liter inline-four, along with the bigger 3.2-liter Duratorq putting out 200 PS and 470 Nm of torque.
